
Ryan Sheehan, Director & Founder
22 year old saxophonist,
clarinetist and band leader Ryan Sheehan is currently a music student at the
Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University.
Notable musicians and bands that Ryan has performed with include 4 time Grammy
Award winning percussionist and composer Glen Velez, 3 time Grammy Award
winning cellist Eugene Friesen, 2 time Grammy Award winning pianist/harmonica
player Howard Levy, retired Airman of Note music director/ saxophonist Joe Eckert, vocalist Hugh Smith of the Metropolitan Opera, The Canadian Brass, and The Rebirth Brass Band.
Ryan
has studied saxophone under the instruction of Dr. Michael Dean at the Holland
School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast
Missouri State
University and under Prof. Michael Karpowicz at the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at Webster University. Performing professionally
since the age of 16 he has performed in nearly every major venue in the
greater St. Louis area including Powell Symphony Hall, The Sheldon Concert
Hall, The Touhill Performing Arts Center, The Casa Loma Ballroom, The Chesterfield Amphitheater, The J. Scheidegger
Center for the Arts, The Tivoli Theatre, The Edward Jones Dome, Busch Stadium and
The Donald C. Bedell Performance Hall. His professional affiliations include
The International Clarinet Association and The National Association for Music
Education. His musical influences include band leader Gordon Goodwin.
